So considering people should get to the airport at least an hour before their flight they're going to have to get up around 3am (after 10-1) in order to get ready and head to ORH. What a joke. JB is definitely setting this flight up to fail.

Only benefit I see with an early am flight is you get a full day in Florida assuming the flight doesn’t get cancelled. Also, if the flight gets cancelled, you have plenty of time to go to another airport to make the flight down. I wouldn’t want to land at ORH at 1am if I have a bunch of young kids. Would be a nightmare for those parents.

You ever try getting your kids up at 3am?

The 5am flight is actually the best time. Those are the hottest flights headed to Florida. Say what you want about getting kids up at 3am, but that’s the time parents looks for the most. The earlier the better. Those flights will be all families headed ok vacation you watch.

We’re not seeing a difference between before the E190 was replaced and after it comes back so the change shouldn’t affect it that much. Seating and tickets will still be sold pretty good and still give people a full day in Florida. Plus, if they’re connecting from FLL to the Caribbean or somewhere else, that’s the perfect time for it. I’m not concerned about getting a kid up at 3am to go to the airport as much as I would be having a kid get a good night sleep arriving at the airport at 1am. 10/11pm that’s ok but 1am is atrocious. Would you rather wake your kid up at 3 so they can catch the flight and sleep the whole plane ride down or have your kid fall asleep on the plane ride back, wake up so they can go to the car and go back home, then try to fall back asleep again?

The 5-6am time slot is perfect for those looking to go on Vacation in Florida plus it’s lands you in FLL at a great time to make alot of the connections there. The 1am arrival is a bit late yes, but it’s only 1 of several options. Now you have the option to come back late if you want it, or you can get back mid-day by utilizing a connection in JFK. I think Nonstop to FLL in the early AM + a FLL-JFK-ORH is perfect for families taking vacations or going on cruises out of FLL/Miami. Gets you down there early & gets you back mid afternoon.
