Great Conversations On Airport

KUDOS to Jeremy-ORH FAN- Common Sense

We had so many great comments yesterday!!!  If you have not had a chance to read, please read them.

After reading them I could not help but think, imagine if the airport management actually weighed in the blog versus posting comments behind names like  "ORH Ramp Rats" or  "J.T. Facts"..   I have heard airport management on the radio and read their comments in the newspaper, but not comment as themselves on issues related to the airport on this blog??

If they did, it may actually improve the airport??

Just sayin

By the way yesterday flights, other then JetBlue Mid-day JFK that was cancelled, was good.

Today off to a good start

Rest of day looks good.

So, who is actually afraid of social media? I posted a comment yesterday too that I assumed was a valid counterpoint to Common Sense's comment in the "2 comments on Ramp" post. It also included an observation about this blog that I thought would generate a productive debate. But I suppose it didnt the Moderator's unpublished appropriate standards of comments that will be accepted and displayed. My comment was not vulgar, derogatory, demeaning, or offensive. I can only assume that since it was critical about this blog, it got censored. So, again, I ask who is actually afraid of social media? Perhaps its those who are afraid to look in the mirror and accept feedback. Why not post my comment and encourage reaction? In my honest opinion, it will probably fall in favor of the blog anyway, but it at least will show this platform is available to those with a difference of opinion.

This was common senses comment that I responded to....
Maybe someone at Massport should call JB to tell them to stop sending their crappy planes to ORH. How many times did this issue happen at TF Green or Logan in the past three months? Since they have a combined hundreds of more daily flights this should happen there on a more frequent basis.

I basically said that JetBlue flies to 100 cities, many with the same planes they use at Worcester. And most likely the same issues occur there too, including PVD and BOS. The difference is that all those other airports Don't have a blogger and commenters that put every irregularity under magnifying glass and document it for all to see. I mean how many airports out there has someone giving a daily report on how the flights operated the day before? I venture to say NONE. Please prove me wrong. There is way too much highlighting the same stuff that also goes on at every other airport with all airlines, every day, but its not brought to light because they don't have a "flyxxx.blogspot.com" to embellish on it.

Doug, those other airports also have mechanics on site that can minimize or eliminate huge delays and cancellations, whereas Worceste does not. I’ve personally experienced this more than once. One time it took 3 hours to change a lightbulb because it took that long to get a mechanic on site. I wish that I was exaggerating.
