Fiscal 2023 DIF Account

Polar Park Housing Projects

  1. Madison 1st residential project not done until mid-2023.   We will not see any real estate taxes until FY 2024.
  2. Madison 2nd  residential we now have no idea.
  3. Table Talk will be developed in 6 stages.    Who knows when the amount of taxes generated will exceed the current benchmark.
  4. Cove has been downsized and anyone have any idea when this will be done??

Forget about the office and hotels.

Let’s just build Amazon warehouses and casinos all over the city.

I don't have the contacts that Bill has, but I have a good feeling about Amazon opening up a cargo facility in the next 2-3 years. The neighbors might go crazy, but Massport does have a right to get some revenue on the millions they invested in ORH.

In other news, new recycling bins are being delivered at a snails pace (could This be due to reduce purchases over time?) trash bag cost is up, fines going out for any thing the city can catch you with, snow/ice clean up held off to last minute, and property taxes going up as fast as they can. But dont worry, city residents will not be responsible for the cost of the park. It will pay for itself

I have been saying the same thing BEFORE the City started with the ball park. My taxes go up and I can't get my street paved, but they are repaying ever street close to the ball park which I realize now I will be paying for.

There was a controversy years ago asking why Joe Petty was getting his street paved every three years.

My grandmother lived on a dirt private road off of N. Lake Ave. It was so bad it was dangerous for cars to transverse. It took about 27 years for the City to get around to repaving it!!

Exactly! I bet your grandmother paid her taxes for those 27 years as I do. What do we get, a long wait while the new kids on the block get every street done. I will say that some of the streets do benefit residents and businesses so I can't totally complain but I am just tired of waiting on a list. Maybe Joe Petty, Ed Augustus or Larry Lucchino can move to my street so it will get paves!

Speaking of taxes, do we know yet why the WooSox are not paying real estate taxes?
