Direct from JetBlue “ Most of these routes were additions we made in response to pandemic travel trends to help us bring immediate cash in the door. As our customers return to more expected booking patterns, these changes will free up aircraft time that we can redeploy into other areas of our network that hold the most strength and relevance to our network strategy in the long term.”

ORH doesn’t fit this bill. Sounds like these are routes they never planned on keeping around any longer than they had to. They brought ORH routes back as travel was picking back up. Not decreasing. If they where planning on Axing ORH routes any time soon they would’ve just never brought them back.

They're just doing it to placate Massport so they can get the gates they want at Logan. I think I read that Delta wants to add 30-40 daily flights at Logan withing two years. Once that happens these airlines will be a distant memory. How long do you think that Massport wants to hold onto an asset that's bleeding them millions per year? Also, Karen Polito is leaving so that's one less cheerleader for Worcester. I think the best thing that could happen at the airport is for the Air Force to drop a nuclear device on it. Then once the radiation clears they can figure out a different use.

Lew a Evangelides is still chair of Massport.
