Why did Nathan Sabo exclude the businesses in the Canal District? Both residents and businesses have their particular issues and should not be excluded because all that will occur is one group will be pitted against another. A resolution has to address all concerns. I hope he realizes this and revises his request.

I'm not sure why it even helps? It's not like the City's going to use these lessons learned the next next time it builds another $175 million facility. I would think that other than some parking issues everyone should be happy. The businesses are seeing their property values go up with the increased business. The real estate owners are finding it easier to fill up their apartments. The 500 new apartments coming online are probably going to be 75% pre-leased. The cops are getting their extra detail pay. Finally, the team owners are going to
double their investment. Everybody's happy!!

Throughout the first season at the ballpark I hope the City was speaking with both the business owners and the residents about the effects on them because the ballpark introduced 300,000 + "visitors" into the neighborhood. I do not know how this effected their businesses or the quality of life of the residents but that is something the City should be concerned with. Something as simple as running out to the supermarket and returning to find out that the parking space you left was now filled a car of someone going to a game could be orating to a resident. From the reporting I am not sure what the final outcome was with businesses during game times. The media reporting was spotty at best. What does it hurt to sit and listen to those effected and adjust accordingly.
