Final Cost Of Polar Park

Last we heard the $100,000,000 stadium was costing us $159,500,000....

Now the first season is over..

We still do not have a final number???

Think any candidate for City Council will consider this of importance.  

 

Our prediction still stands at $175,000,000....

You will never see a true picture. When the costs started going sideways, there was a really quick division of many projects attached, so that it becomes more difficult to total it, and it becomes easier to provide answers most of the public will accept. On top of this, the side deals, tifs, and grants need to be dissected. This was all done before ever providing one attempt at transparency. Special eds playing worcester monopoly already , however, theres nothing in the community chest for the residents. Just the tax bill. No 200 for passing go. Just a slick adjustment to fees , taxes , and other sources of taxpayer based charges to fill the errors while they all laugh at us

Again I say the Monopoly comment is a timely one. Expanding on the comment, Special Ed built Boardwalk for the WooSox for $175 million and we have yet to pass go and collected our $200. To the contrary, the City landed on Boardwalk and had to pay to have High School graduations. Only in Worcester.
