Has Not The Biotech Facility Always Been Part Of The Plans??

It is a great thing. The point here was in MassLive today it was presented as something new. Maybe better question would have been when does development start and what is proposed opening??

I not sure I remember anything in the original plans about building a biotech building there. The original plan was for a garage, two hotels, residential and commercial. I'm not sure it even matters what type of building goes there. What your doing is introducing more people to the district (some from out of town) with very well-paying jobs. These employees will attend games at Polar Park and shop/ dine in the Canal District and throughout our downtown. Some will choose to live in the Canal District as well. Something to be excited about.

Now that we think about it. You are right it was not part of the original plans but was added around January of 2020 when the 2nd Pro Forma was produced.
